3rd MAT Forum Meeting in Summer Term.
Terms of Reference
In the current climate there is an absolute need for all Multi Academy Trusts (MATs) to continue to focus on supporting students to achieve the best possible outcomes. Data is an integral part of supporting improvement. With real time analysis and feedback of student performance, the ability to fund effective interventions in greatly increased. Aggregating this data analysis to the academy and then the MAT level supports the creation of a focused picture that highlights cross MAT trends. In turn these trends can be used to understand how cross MAT resources can be deployed to share effective practice between academies in the same group for the benefit of the whole organisation.
Over the past few months Bromcom have been working with some of the highest performing MATs. We are supporting their continued journey to excellence by providing and developing powerful reporting tools that sit at the heart of our MIS. Several of these organisations have asked the same questions. Initially:
‘How can we benchmark ourselves against other MATs’
& then
‘How can we share successful strategies that support tangible improvement for the betterment of everyone’?
These questions are born out of a fundamental and altruistic belief that high performing MATs should share successful strategies beyond their own boundaries and that in doing so everyone will benefit. At Bromcom our passion is focused on empowering people to ask meaningful questions from large datasets and as such we are keen to support the investigation of these questions further.
Actions
Bromcom is proposing to support a forum event where MAT leaders can come together, in a confidential environment, with two key drivers:
A. Define an initial set of meaningful benchmarks that MATs can use to compare their performance.
B. Share strategies that support improvement against those benchmarks.
To support the forum Bromcom will make available a meeting room and provide refreshments. Bromcom will also undertake to produce reports within their Advanced Report Builder (ARB) / BI that support the agreed benchmarks. If a MAT joins the group that does not use the Bromcom MIS, Bromcom will provide them with an instance of their MAT Vision environment for an agreed period of time to allow them to run the benchmark reports and take part in the ongoing dialogue.
The forum would be led and chaired by Harris Federation under Bromcom sponsorship and watch and with the individuals from within the MAT community will set the agenda and oversee the outcomes.
Note:
If a MAT joins the group that does not use the Bromcom MIS, Bromcom will provide them with an instance of their MAT Vision environment for an agreed period of time.
